Not a cake, not yet a pie…

Trying out something new, I decided to cook the below galette for a dinner party this weekend. Not only was it really easy to make, it was very yummy! The recipe for this galette is from the William Sonoma Essentials of Baking cookbook, which a friend gave me for my birthday. Now that I have successfully made my first galette, I can’t wait to make other variations of my very own…

Oooh la la–the galette looks fabulous! Now, tell me the truth, did you make your own pastry dough or did you buy it? It looks so perfect and uniform…

I do a wonderful peach and blueberry galette come summertime. We’ll have to compare notes.

I make my own pastry dough. Thanks for the compliment on the uniformity :)

Peach and blueberry would work wonderfully, I bet!
